When you smell great, you feel great. It gives you an air of confidence like nothing else and enables you to get on with your day comfortably.

Smelling great involves a combination of good personal hygiene and fragrances. It can incorporate some lifestyle choices. Below are some top of the most effective ways to keep yourself smelling great!

Maintain Good Personal Hygiene

Showering or bathing regularly is key to maintaining good personal hygiene and preventing bad body odour. When washing yourself, use moisturising soap or body wash and clean all areas of your body, including under underarms, elbows, and crevices where bacteria can accumulate, such as your belly button.

Wear Antiperspirant Spray

It’s best to choose an antiperspirant spray over a body spray, as it will have anti-sweat molecules. Aim to wear an antiperspirant every day, applying it before you get dressed.

Consider wearing an antiperspirant spray that has a pleasant scent and is free of unnatural chemicals that might irritate your skin. I usually put it on a few minutes before my shirt so it’s less likely to rub off on the material.

Wear Perfume

You don’t necessarily need to wear perfume every day of the week. You might wish to save it for special occasions instead.

Regardless of how often you choose to apply perfume, choose a scent that you love. It could be apple blossom perfume or a more traditional aroma like vanilla.

Maintain Great Oral Hygiene

Your oral hygiene is also important to your overall healthy lifestyle. It can contribute significantly to your scent. Try your best to brush your teeth twice a day and floss to remove small bits of food from between your teeth that your toothbrush bristles can’t quite reach.

Stay Hydrated

Drink enough water throughout the day to keep yourself healthy and odour-free. Aim for two to two and a half litres of water each day, or even more if you’re exercising rigorously or sweating excessively.
